Has a parent or caregiver ever asked you the question, “Should my child attend the funeral?”  This deeply personal question is one that many of us have had to navigate when working with the families we serve.

In response to this difficult question, the Funeral Service Foundation, in collaboration with a task force of funeral service professionals and grief and bereavement experts, created tools and resources to help families and communities better understand the important role funerals and memorialization play in the lives of youth.

The tools help debunk the common myths that prevent youth from attending or participating in funerals, offer age-appropriate language and advice on discussion death and funerals with youth and give suggestions for youth preparedness, empowerment and involvement in memorialization.

We are pleased to share these resources with you and hope you will find them useful in engaging your families and communities in this powerful conversation.

Resources available at include:

·         E-book & Video – Embed or link the e-book and video on your organization’s website at no cost.

·         Customized Booklet – Available for purchase with your organization’s logo and business information.

Thank you for helping us carry forward our vision of an improved end of life experience for families and the loves ones by providing healthy and healing funerals and memorialization’s.
